Unlike some legacy Tesco Bank products, this life cover is focused purely on security for your family and includes exclusive Tesco Clubcard benefits, health and wellbeing services via the Aviva DigiCare+ app, and incentives such as a Tesco gift card.

What types of Life Insurance do esco provide

Tesco Life Insurance offers two main types of term cover:

Family Protection (Level Cover)

Pays a fixed cash sum if you pass away or are terminally ill during the term.
Sum assured stays at the same level throughout the policy.
Suitable for general family financial security.

Mortgage Protection (Decreasing Cover)

Designed to mirror the balance on your repayment mortgage.
The cover amount decreases over time as the mortgage reduces.
Helps ensure your home can be paid off in the event of your death.

What's Covered

Tesco Life Insurance primarily pays out a lump sum if:

A separation benefit for joint policies
Temporary cover during the house purchase process (free life cover for up to 90 days when moving home)

What's Not Covered

Before applying, it’s important to understand some limitations

No savings or investment component – this is pure protection with no cash-in value
Suicide or intentional self-inflicted injury in the first year is typically excluded
Non-payment of premiums will end cover immediately
Terms and eligibility for benefits like Little Life Helps and the gift card have specific conditions and may require opting into marketing via the Tesco App
